On 5 June this year, international seminar on ‘Fair market conditions for increasing competitiveness in Uzbekistan’ was held at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Tashkent with the support of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The event was addressed by Head of the OECD Central Asia Unit and Senior Analyst G.Lecomte, Advisor to the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands V.Kremer, Director of the Government Coordination Centre of the Lithuania V.Danielius, President of the State Enterprise Monitoring and Evaluation Agency of the Romania M.Prekup, the Competition committee and deputy Director of UzSAMA A.Miraliyev, as well as representatives of interested ministries and agencies and large enterprises with state participation.
During the event, the experts made presentations on the updated OECD guidelines, as well as on the best advanced practices in corporate governance and privatisation. The seminar took place in the form of heated discussions and debates.
